ALFONSO "PONCHITO" BENAVIDEZ

Gracias a la habilidad de Ponchito como historiador, pude verificar los datos mas importantes de las familias que migraron al NORTE..como su compadre Arturo (mi padre) que nacio el mismo ano que Ponchito.

EN SU JUVENTUD "PONCHITO Y SU ESPOSA ZAPOPA FUERON TAMBIEN MIGRANTES.  EN 1952 PONCHITO RECORDO SU UNICO VIAJE A ST. PAUL, MARION COUNTY, OREGON.   DESPUES DE VEER EL MILLAGE "2180 MILLAS" DEL MUEBLE (carro) EN CUAL LLEGARON A ST. PAUL, OREGON NO QUIZO REPETIR LA JORNADA :-)

Ponchito's compadre - mi papa Arturo- spend his last days a few feet from a special where he is seated. My dad helped me remodel a place that we have all called home for more than 30 years. My dad Arturo and Ponchito were born in the same year -1912- and were only two months apart. My dad was a native Ashertonian!

Aun no tuvieron hijos naturales SÍ adoptaron a jovens que necesitaban un auxilio como:  Dalia Barrera (esposa de Eloy Barrera) y Elsa (hija adoptiva) que estuvo a su lado en la última etapa de Ponchito.
